Mary Chapin Carpenter to release new album in April
Mary Chapin Carpenter's new album, The Age of Miracles, is to be released on April 27 on Zoe/Rounder Records.
It is the twelfth album overall for the winner of five Grammies who has been under the radar in recent years. Her last album was the low-profile Christmas record Come Darkness, Come Night in 2008, which followed the Grammy-nominated The Calling in 2007.
The new record features guest vocals by Alison Krauss and Vince Gill. It was recorded in Nashville and produced by Carpenter and her long-time collaborator Matt Rollings, who also plays piano and B-3 organ on the record.
